LiRec4OSS is user-friendly, allowing ordinary developers to use it easily even without extensive knowledge of professional open-source license information.

Follow the steps below:

• Download the extension from this page or your IDE marketplace.

• Run the Get License command from the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P) in your current window.

• Enter your software (project) name, source, country of release, programming language, tags, and description in the corresponding input fields, with the name being a required field. You can refer to the examples we provide for more details.

• View the recommended licenses. Click the confirmation button, and the top 5 recommended licenses will be displayed below, sorted by recommendation score from highest to lowest. You can choose a suitable license from the list or use it as a reference for your selection.
