A VS Code extension for comparing images across multiple folders side by side.

  • Multi-folder comparison: Compare 2-4 image folders simultaneously
  • Synchronized zoom: All panels zoom together
  • Synchronized scroll: Scroll position syncs across all panels
  • Grid layout: Customize panel arrangement (columns × rows)
  • Natural sorting: Files are sorted naturally (1, 2, 10 instead of 1, 10, 2)

Usage

  1. Open Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P / Ctrl+Shift+P)
  2. Run Image Folder Compare: Start
  3. Enter the number of folders to compare (2-4)
  4. Select each folder when prompted
  5. Browse and compare images

Keyboard Shortcuts

← Previous image group
→ Next image group
+ / = Zoom in
- Zoom out
0 Reset zoom to 100%

PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, WebP, SVG

Installation

From VS Code Marketplace

  1. Open VS Code
  2. Go to Extensions (Cmd+Shift+X / Ctrl+Shift+X)
  3. Search for "Image Folder Compare"
  4. Click Install

From VSIX

  1. Download the .vsix file from Releases
  2. Open VS Code
  3. Run Extensions: Install from VSIX... from Command Palette
  4. Select the downloaded file
