NotifAI Agents for VS Code

See your Claude Code sessions across all your computers, and message them from anywhere.

NotifAI Agents: your Claude Code agents, your computers, one command center

If you run Claude Code on more than one computer, it is hard to know which session is working, which one is waiting on you, and which one finished an hour ago. NotifAI Agents puts them all on one screen. This extension is the part that connects VS Code on a computer to that screen.

Early access. Sign-up is invite only right now, so this extension needs a NotifAI Agents account before it can connect. Without one, it only shows a Connect button in the status bar. You can join the founding list at agents.notifai.net.

What it does

Shows your sessions. Each VS Code window reports its terminals, so your sessions appear under this computer in NotifAI Agents.
Delivers your messages. When an agent is idle, your message is typed into its terminal, and it picks up from there.
Opens new sessions. From the app you can open a terminal in this window and start Claude Code. It runs that one fixed command and never runs text sent over the network. Turn this off with the notifaiAgents.allowNewTerminals setting.

Get started

Install the extension.
Open the Command Palette and run NotifAI Agents: Connect this computer.
Approve the code in your browser.

Every VS Code window on this computer then connects on its own, and the status bar shows that it is connected. For full session status, also add the NotifAI Agents plugin for Claude Code. The setup guide in the app covers it.

NotifAI or NotifAI Agents?

They are separate extensions from the same publisher, and you can use either one.

NotifAI sends Claude Code's permission requests to your phone, so you can approve them while you are away.
NotifAI Agents is about the whole picture: every computer, every session, and messages to the agents on them.

What it sends

This computer's name, your operating system user name and version, the workspace name of each window, and the names and process ids of its terminals. It does not send your files. Your connection credential is saved in ~/.ai-colab/device.json, which only your user can read.
