🐾 1. Non-Intrusive Companion (Zero Auto-Scroll Guarantee)

Your focus is sacred. Unlike traditional annoying popups or jumpy extensions, Pettering Around strictly respects your editor:

• Zero unwanted scrolling: The cat stays anchored to where you are actively working (targetUserLine).
• Smooth sub-character traversal: Walks seamlessly across indentation and code text without disrupting your layout or code formatting.

🎨 2. Four Unique Breeds & Coats

Switch your companion's coat on the fly directly from the customization panel:

• 🟠 Ginger: The cheerful, curious orange tabby.
• 🎩 Tuxedo: A distinguished black cat with a white chest and mittens.
• 🎨 Calico: A sweet, lucky tricolor patchwork kitty.
• 🌑 Midnight: A sleek, mysterious obsidian black cat with amber eyes.

🐛 3. Bug Hunter (Error Scratching)

Got a syntax error or a broken type? Your pet will notice!

• Eagerly trots to visible red squiggly lines and scratches them with rapid paw strikes (bat0/bat1).
• An unobtrusive status bar alert directs you to off-screen errors with a single click.

🎛️ 4. Activity Bar Control Center

Click the cat icon on the left Activity Bar to customize:

• Live Status: See what your cat is doing right now, and send it for a short Nap (it wakes up by itself).
• Name: Click the name next to the cat's portrait to rename it.
• Visibility: Snooze it, hide it in this workspace only, or turn it off everywhere.
• Coat, Liveliness and Bug Hunter: Pick a breed, tune how lively it is, and choose whether it scratches errors.
• Language: English or Turkish, or follow VS Code's display language.

💤 5. Natural Pet Behaviors

When you're coding, your pet displays a full range of lifelike idle animations:

• sleep: Snoozing peacefully with gentle breathing.
• loaf: Tucking its paws into a warm loaf pose.
• groom: Washing its paws and face.
• stretch: Yoga-like stretches before a walk.
• sit: Calmly watching you write great code.

😻 6. Pet Your Cat

• Click the cat to pet it: it stops, sits, and slow-blinks back — the way cats say they trust you. Clicking puts your caret at the cat's paws; VS Code gives extensions no way to catch a click without that.
• Rest the pointer on it for a small menu: Pet, Nap / Wake up and Snooze. VS Code only shows hovers over text, so the menu appears when the cat is sitting over code, not over a blank line.
• All of them are also in the Command Palette, under Pettering Around.

🔕 7. Snooze When You Need to Focus

Send the cat away for 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour or the rest of the day — from the cat's hover menu, the panel, or Pettering Around: Snooze the Cat… in the Command Palette. While it is away it costs nothing: no animation, no timers, no error alerts. The status bar shows when it will be back (click it to call the cat back early), and the snooze survives restarting VS Code. "Rest of the day" ends at midnight, not 24 hours later.

🙈 8. Hide It Instantly

Press Ctrl+Alt+C (⌃⌥C on macOS) to hide the cat everywhere, and again to bring it back — also undoing a snooze or a workspace-level hide. Rebind it from the panel's Change link. To keep the cat out of a single project for good, switch off Show in this workspace in the panel.

🚀 Getting Started

1. Install Pettering Around from the VS Code Marketplace.
2. Open any code file — your pet will immediately spawn and start exploring!
3. Click the Pettering Around paw icon in the Activity Bar to customize your cat.
