JetBrains Islands Dark+

A dark theme for Visual Studio Code, inspired by the JetBrains Islands Dark theme — tuned for better contrast, consistent panel hierarchy, and a more refined color palette.

What's different from the original

• Increased contrast across UI text, syntax tokens, and inactive elements
• Consistent panel depth hierarchy (panels → editor → overlays → menus)
• Muted primary accent colors that feel natural in a dark environment
• Visible panel borders for clear spatial separation
• Accessible focus indicators
• Synced overlay backgrounds (command palette, hover widgets, notifications)

Installation

1. Open Extensions in VS Code (Ctrl+Shift+X)
2. Search for JetBrains Islands Dark+
3. Click Install
4. Open the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P) → Preferences: Color Theme → select JetBrains Islands Dark+
