How do I get started?

To use GitHub Copilot for Azure you’ll need:

An active GitHub Copilot license.
The GitHub Copilot Chat extension.
A Microsoft account.

How do I chat with @azure?

Enter @azure in GitHub Copilot Chat to begin the conversation. You can also find a shortcut in the context menu for items in the Azure Resources view.

Try to include details in your prompts, especially about your Azure resources, such as the specific resource and subscription ID. Ask follow-up questions if you need more information.

Instructions on working with the repo

Update AI driver version

Modify the version of microsoft.azure.copilotforazure.aiservice.webapi.localpackage in package.json file.
Run npm i, which should update package-lock.json accordingly. If you encounter an error like this

npm error 404 Note that you can also install from a
npm error 404 tarball, folder, http url, or git url.

It is possible that that specific version of it hasn't made into the vscode npm feed. I could be added to the feed manually, by clicking Search Upstream Sources -> npm -> Package Name: microsoft.azure.copilotforazure.aiservice.webapi.localpackage -> <the version you are looking for> -> Save to feed

Commit the change for both package.json and package-lock.json
