You can start by opening a .leg file. Here is a good file to play with: [https://gitlab.com/UnsolvedCypher/legtext-markup/-/blob/main/examples/open-source.leg?ref_type=heads]

Alternatively, you can import a bill from XML or PDF (PDFs must contain embedded XML, meaning they have to come from legislative counsel). To import, press ctrl + shift p + and type "Import bill", then select your XML or PDF file.

Click on the arrows in the left-side bar to collapse sections of the bill: Folding

Hover over a term or reference to see its definition: (you can also ctrl + click on it to jump to its definition) Hover

Start typing after an opening [ bracket or * asterisk to autocomplete references to provisions or terms: References

Access the outline with ctrl + shift + P and typing "Outline": Outline

Use the preview button to view a sample rendering of the bill: (You can also import from XML or export to PDF from the same menu) Preview button
