Prompt Manager for VS Code

A Visual Studio Code extension that helps you manage and reuse your AI prompts efficiently.

Installation

1. Open VS Code
2. Press Ctrl+P / Cmd+P to open the Quick Open dialog
3. Type ext install mltc.prompt-manager
4. Press Enter

Usage

Opening the Prompt Manager

The Prompt Manager is accessible from the Activity Bar (the leftmost sidebar in VS Code). Look for the icon showing a person at a computer.

Creating a New Prompt

1. Click the "+" icon in the Prompt Manager panel
2. Enter a name for your prompt
3. Enter the prompt content
4. Click "Save Prompt"

Managing Prompts

Each prompt in the list has three actions available:

• 📋 Copy - Copies the prompt content to clipboard
• ✏️ Edit - Opens the prompt editor
• 🗑️ Delete - Removes the prompt

Searching Prompts

1. Click the search icon in the Prompt Manager panel
2. Type your search query
3. The list will filter in real-time to match your search

Quick Copy

Click on any prompt in the list to quickly copy its content to your clipboard.

Requirements

• Visual Studio Code version 1.73.0 or higher

Extension Settings

This extension doesn't require any additional settings.
