A VS Code extension that reminds you to take regular breaks with motivational quotes and beautiful images.

Installation

  1. Open VS Code
  2. Press Ctrl+P / Cmd+P
  3. Type ext install break
  4. Click Install

Usage

  1. The extension will automatically remind you to take breaks at regular intervals (default: 30 minutes)

  2. You can also manually start a break:

    • Open the command palette (Ctrl+Shift+P / Cmd+Shift+P)
    • Type "Break: Take a break"
    • Press Enter
  3. During the break:

    • Enjoy the beautiful image and motivational quote
    • Take a 5-minute break (timer included)
    • Click "New Quote" to see different quotes and images
    • Click "Back to Work" when you're ready to return

Configuration

You can customize the break interval in VS Code settings:

  1. Open VS Code settings
  2. Search for "Break Reminder"
  3. Adjust the "Break Interval" value (in minutes)
