Plans

Free with the free models or your own keys. Pro and Max add the paid models, with session and weekly limits you can always see. Details are on the pricing page.

What it does

  • Plans before it codes: describe the change in plain language and review the plan before anything is edited.
  • Writes and edits code: reads your project, edits files and runs terminal commands, asking for permission as it goes.
  • Reviews changes: every turn's file changes are shown as diffs you can inspect, keep or undo.
  • Runs agents in parallel: the Agent Manager runs several sessions side by side, each in its own git worktree.
  • Inline autocomplete: suggestions as you type, from the gateway or your own provider key.
  • Extends with MCP: install MCP servers, skills and agents from the built-in marketplace.

Get started

  1. Install MegaBrain Code Factory from the VS Code Marketplace.
  2. Open the MegaBrain view in the Activity Bar.
  3. Sign in with your MegaBrain account, or connect your own provider API key.
  4. Ask for a change.

Built on

MegaBrain Code Factory is a fork of Kilo Code, which builds on OpenCode. Both are MIT licensed, and so is this extension.

Some internals keep the upstream name on purpose: settings are under kilo-code.*, project configuration lives in .kilo/ and kilo.json, and environment variables are KILO_*. Renaming them would break existing configurations.
