Version 14 Theme

A dark and light theme for Visual Studio Code, built around the Version 14 brand palette: high contrast accents on deep neutrals.

The violet accent is a placeholder hue. It replaces a retired lime green accent and will change again once a permanent hue is chosen. It matches the contrast regrade shipped in version14/zed-theme v0.4.1.

Variants

Variant	Description
Version 14 Dark	Deep dark backgrounds with a violet accent (`#B7A2FF`)
Version 14 Black	Pure black backgrounds (`#000000`) with the same violet accent, for OLED displays
Version 14 Light	Bright neutral surfaces with a violet accent (`#5F3BBB`)

Installation

Open the Extensions panel (Cmd+Shift+X / Ctrl+Shift+X).
Search for Version 14 Theme and click Install.
Open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P) and run Preferences: Color Theme.
Select Version 14 Dark, Version 14 Black, or Version 14 Light.
