Usage
- Open a workspace containing PDF files
- Click the "Parse Da File" icon in the activity bar (PDF icon)
- Browse your PDFs in the tree view
- Use the inline buttons or context menu to:
- Extract text from a single PDF
- Extract text from all PDFs in a folder
- Open PDFs directly in VS Code
Single PDF Processing
- Hover over any PDF file and click the "Extract Text" button
- Or right-click the PDF and select "Extract Text"
- The extracted text will open automatically in the editor
Bulk Processing
- Hover over any folder and click the "Extract Text from All PDFs" button
- Or right-click the folder and select "Extract Text from All PDFs"
- A progress indicator will show the conversion status
- View a detailed summary when processing completes
Requirements
- Visual Studio Code version 1.85.0 or higher
- PDF files in your workspace
