Laabam AI Coder

A coding assistant for VS Code, powered by Laabam Agni, Laabam's own model.

Describe what you want in plain words. Laabam AI Coder reads your project, plans the change, edits files and runs commands in your terminal. You approve each file change and each command, unless you choose to auto-approve them.

Get started

1. Install Laabam AI Coder and open it from the Laabam star in the activity bar.
2. Make an API key at platform.laabam.ai and paste it in.
3. Top up your prepaid credit at www.laabam.ai/credit.
4. Type your first task, for example: "Add a dark mode toggle to the settings page".

What it can do

• Plan and Act. Talk a change through in Plan mode, then switch to Act mode to have it made.
• Edit files. Every change opens as a diff you can accept, edit or reject. It watches compiler and linter errors and fixes problems such as missing imports as it goes.
• Run commands. It runs builds, tests and dev servers in your terminal and reads the output.
• Checkpoints. Each step is saved, so you can compare it with your workspace or roll back.
• Context. Point it at things with @: files, folders, the Problems panel, terminal output and Git commits.
• Rules and workflows. Put project instructions in a .laabamrules file or folder, and repeatable steps in .laabamrules/workflows. List files it must not read in .laabamignore.
• MCP servers. Connect Model Context Protocol servers to give it more tools.

Laabam Agni reads text only, so images can't be attached to a task.

Pricing

Calls are paid from your prepaid Laabam credit: ₹50 per 10 lakh tokens, input and output alike, plus 18% GST in India. You buy credit on www.laabam.ai/credit, from ₹500 a top-up, and your balance and usage are on platform.laabam.ai. More help: www.laabam.ai/coder.

Privacy

Your task, and the code and command output Laabam AI Coder reads to do it, go to laabam.ai to be answered by Laabam Agni, under the Laabam privacy policy. Your API key stays in VS Code's secret storage on your computer. The extension itself sends no usage data.
