Coffee-Moon Language Support for VS Code

This extension provides Coffee-Moon language support in Visual Studio Code and VSCodium-compatible editors:

  • Language registration for .cm files
  • TextMate syntax highlighting
  • Bracket and indentation rules
  • Snippets
  • A shared Coffee-Moon language server with compiler diagnostics, completion, hover, document symbols, and go-to-definition

Requirements

  • Python 3 on PATH (or set COFFEEMOON_PYTHON)
  • Lua on PATH (or set COFFEEMOON_LUA)
  • A Coffee-Moon compiler checkout for diagnostics: set COFFEEMOON_COMPILER to compiler/coffee.lua

Without a compiler checkout, syntax highlighting and snippets still work. The language server reports that diagnostics are unavailable until the compiler path is configured.

Getting started

  1. Install the extension.
  2. Open a folder containing .cm files.
  3. For diagnostics, point COFFEEMOON_COMPILER at compiler/coffee.lua.
