Browse a Maven project's dependency tree in VS Code and run common Maven goals
without replacing VS Code's native POM editor.
What's new in 0.0.4
Maven goal output now streams to the extension output channel while the
command is running, instead of appearing only after the goal completes.
Updated the Marketplace description to better explain the extension.
Features
View direct and transitive dependencies, scopes, optional dependencies, and
version conflicts.
Filter and expand or collapse the dependency tree.
Add an exclusion for a transitive dependency from the hierarchy.
Run Maven update, lifecycle, and custom-goal commands.
Refresh the hierarchy after changing a POM.
Usage
Open a pom.xml in VS Code's native text editor.
Right-click in the editor and select Maven: Dependency Hierarchy Preview.
Or click the hierarchy icon in the editor title bar; its tooltip is
Maven: Dependency Hierarchy Preview.
The dependency hierarchy opens in a separate editor beside the POM.
The hierarchy refreshes when the POM is saved and can also be refreshed
manually. The POM is saved before running a Maven command. Maven must be
available on PATH and configured for the project.
Requirements
Visual Studio Code 1.80 or newer.
Apache Maven available on PATH.
A Java runtime configured for the Maven project.
