Extension Settings

This extension contributes the following settings:

• gptCode.endpoint: The OpenAI-compatible API endpoint (defaults to http://127.0.0.1:5011/v1/chat/completions).
• gptCode.model: The model identifier used for planning and code execution (defaults to gpt-code-planner).
• gptCode.token: Optional Bearer token for authenticating with the endpoint.
• gptCode.maxSteps: Maximum autonomous agent steps for one user request (defaults to 80).
• gptCode.maxContextChars: Maximum characters sent per turn context (defaults to 60000).
• gptCode.maxConversationChars: Maximum characters maintained in conversation history (defaults to 350000).
• gptCode.commandTimeoutMs: Timeout in milliseconds for shell commands executed by the agent (defaults to 300000).

Getting Started

1. Install the extension.
2. Open the GPT-Code icon in the Activity Bar.
3. Configure your API endpoint and model in Settings (Preferences: Open Settings (UI) -> search for gptCode).
4. Type your instructions in the agent chat box and let GPT-Code handle the implementation.

Requirements

• VS Code or Antigravity IDE version 1.90.0 or higher.
• An accessible OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
