KEPLang for Visual Studio Code
Syntax highlighting, snippets and .kep file icons for
KEPLang, a programming language with keywords from the
Khorezm dialect of Uzbek.
Supports the implemented KEPLang 0.3.1 syntax. Keywords proposed for future
language releases are not advertised as supported features.
O‘rnatish / Installation
In VS Code, open Extensions (Ctrl+Shift+X), search for KEPLang and install
the extension by KEPLang. Then open a .kep file. The status bar should
show KEPLang. An existing file can also be switched through
Change Language Mode → KEPLang.
For an offline installation, choose … → Install from VSIX… and select
keplang-0.1.0.vsix.
code --install-extension keplang.keplang
The VSIX works locally without a Marketplace account. This package is not a
compiler, debugger, formatter or language server; use the KEPLang CLI to check
and execute programs.

to b != 0 bolincha {
son qoldiq = a % b;
a = b;
b = qoldiq;
}
qaytar a;
}
son a = uqi();
son b = uqi();
chiqar(ekub(a, b));
KEPLang branding
The extension icon and .kep file marks reuse the KEPLang website logo:
cream/cyan on dark surfaces and deep teal on light surfaces.
Most file icon themes display the language icon automatically. A theme may
override or disable language icons. For guaranteed .kep branding, choose
Preferences: File Icon Theme → KEPLang File Icons. This optional theme uses
neutral icons for other files/folders. Installing the extension does not change
the current color or file icon theme.
Development
From editors/vscode, with Node.js 22 or newer:
npm ci
npm test
npm run test:editor
npm run package
The VSIX is written to dist/keplang-0.1.0.vsix. Test dependencies, development
scripts and editor test downloads are excluded from the package. There is no
extension activation script, network client or bundled executable.
npm run build:icons regenerates the committed branding assets from
web/assets/keplang.svg. The editor test downloads an isolated official VS Code
build and uses a temporary profile, leaving the user's installed editor unchanged.
Building the VSIX and running CI do not publish a release. Maintainers upload
the verified package through the Visual Studio Marketplace publisher portal.
