Markov
Gives the Markov CLI live context from VS Code — your active file, cursor position, and selection — no copy-pasting. Same pattern as Claude Code's IDE bridge.
How it works
The extension runs a small loopback HTTP server on 127.0.0.1:<random port> and writes a lock file with an auth token to ~/.markov/ide/<port>.lock. When the CLI runs in the editor's integrated terminal, it finds the lock file, pulls the active file + selection, and injects it into every prompt as [IDE context].
Only the active file (if it's inside the CLI's working directory and not a sensitive file like .env* or node_modules/) is ever shared. Loopback-only + per-activation token = only you can reach it.
Install
code --install-extension markov-vscode-0.1.0.vsix
Reload the window, then run markov in the integrated terminal.
Verify
Type /ide in the CLI — it should report ✓ Connected with your active file. You can also run "Markov: Show Active Context" from the Command Palette.
Disable
Set MARKOV_IDE=0 in your environment.
