Switch to Same File

Switch to another file in the workspace with the same name if it's open.

Features

  • Quickly switch between files with the same name in the workspace.
  • Supports customizable keyboard shortcuts.

Usage

  1. Open a file in the workspace.
  2. Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+1 (or Cmd+Shift+1 on macOS) to switch to another file with the same name.
  3. If multiple files with the same name are found, successive invocations of the command will cycle through them.

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Ctrl+Shift+1 (Windows/Linux)
  • Cmd+Shift+1 (macOS)

Requirements

  • Visual Studio Code version 1.7.5 or higher.

Installation

  1. Install the extension from the Visual Studio Code Marketplace.
  2. Reload Visual Studio Code to activate the extension.
