Autocomplete, validation, documentation and AI-agent tools for Laravel apps
built with jonytonet/ptah.
The extension carries no ptah knowledge of its own: everything comes from the
package installed in the project (vendor/jonytonet/ptah) and from the
project's own artisan. So it always matches the version that runs — a
composer update also updates what the editor offers.
Needs ptah 1.52.0+ for autocomplete and config validation (older versions
still get the commands).
What it does
JSON configs
database/ptah/crud-configs/*.json (from ptah:config:export-all) and *.crud.json are validated against the installed version's schema: every key the runtime reads is completed, and a top-level actions/filters/general or a cols* key nothing reads is flagged.
Validate without saving
Ptah: Validate this config runs the full ptah:config:doctor on the open file and puts the findings in the Problems panel, on the key's line.
<x-forge-*>
Completes component names and props in Blade views; hover shows props, defaults and docs.
Documentation
Ptah: Search the documentation — the sections that answer, from the installed version's docs.
Commands
New entity (forge), Project map, Smoke-test every screen, Audit the saved configs, and any ptah:* from the palette.
AI agent
With laravel/mcp installed, registers the ptah MCP server for Copilot; for Claude Code, Set up MCP writes .mcp.json.
