Dune.nvim Themes for VS Code

Four colour themes from the Dune universe, each house rendered in the light of its own world — the VS Code port of the dune.nvim colourscheme series for Neovim. One violet (#A188CC) sits on types and classes in every palette, because the Sisterhood operates in every corner of the Imperium.

Install the extension, then Preferences: Color Theme → pick a house. The integrated terminal is styled too: its ANSI slots share one mapping with Neovim's :terminal and the terminal ports in the main repository, so every port agrees on what red means.

See every house side by side on the showcase site: dune-nvim.tdjones.ca.

Dune Atreides — the shoreline of two worlds

Caladan's cold sea against the hot sand of Arrakis: spice-orange keywords, melange-gold constants, and sea-teal strings over ink-dark water. The duke's house, and the flagship of the series.

Dune Atreides

Dune Harkonnen — the black sun

Giedi Prime permits no colour it does not need. Keywords are carried by weight, not hue — bold glare on machine shadow — and the furnace ember is rationed out to errors alone. Coolant blue is an industrial concession, not a mercy.

Dune Harkonnen

Dune Corrino — the golden lion throne

Kaitain: porphyry and gold. The metal owns the frame — bold throne-gold keywords, gilt-leaf operators and punctuation — while the court jewels are handed out precisely: emerald strings, sapphire functions, ruby errors.

Dune Corrino

Dune Fremen — the desert hides its life

The sietch: carved stone and hoarded water. Moonlit sand over the open night, wormsign where something has gone wrong, and the two colours the desert keeps hidden — prophecy-green strings and the blue of Ibad on functions, worn by those who can afford the water of strangers.

Dune Fremen

Dune Tleilaxu

There is no fifth theme. Do not select Dune Tleilaxu. It does not exist, and it will work perfectly: bone-wax keywords over vat glass, axlotl-green strings, and every call site answered by its own ghola — originals declare; gholas repeat.

The violet

#A188CC, unchanged in every house: sisterhoodViolet in four palettes, reverendViolet in the open desert. It marks types and classes wherever you go, because the Sisterhood has agents everywhere — and so does your type checker.
