Installation

  1. Install the extension from the VS Code Marketplace
  2. Ensure you have GitHub Copilot Chat enabled in VS Code

Usage

Starting the Drawing Canvas

  1. Open the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P / Cmd+Shift+P)
  2. Run the command Copilot Draw: Start Drawing
  3. A new panel will open with the drawing interface

Using with GitHub Copilot Chat

  1. Create your drawing using the full-featured drawing tools
  2. Open GitHub Copilot Chat
  3. Reference your drawing using #drawing in your prompt, or just ask a question in Agent mode.
  4. Ask questions like:
    • "Explain this diagram"
    • "What improvements can you suggest for this architecture?"
    • "Convert this flowchart to code"
