Requirements

Usage

Once installed, media controls appear in your VS Code status bar (bottom right).

Keyboard Shortcuts

Supported Applications

Works with any app that integrates with Windows Media Transport Controls:

  • Music: Spotify, iTunes, Groove Music, VLC, foobar2000
  • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, Opera (YouTube, SoundCloud, etc.)
  • Video: Windows Media Player, VLC, Movies & TV

Commands

Available in Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P):

  • MediaBar: Play/Pause
  • MediaBar: Next Track

  • MediaBar: Switch Media Session

Known Issues

  • Some applications may not report track information correctly
