Requirements

Installation Steps
Download the .vsix file
Install in Windsurf/Cursor:
- Go to Extensions panel
- Click
... (More Actions)
- Select "Install from VSIX"
- Choose the downloaded file
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Open a Folder
- You MUST open a folder/workspace in your IDE
- The plugin will automatically generate
.windsurfrules or .cursorrules in the workspace root
- These rule files are essential for the plugin to work
- Without an open folder, the plugin cannot function
Configure MCP (IMPORTANT!):
- Click "Infinite Ask: Configure MCP" command
- Or use Command Palette:

Restart the IDE window
Verify MCP is running:
- Check the MCP panel (bottom left)
- Look for
infinite_ask with green status ✅
- If not green, restart the window again
Verify rule files were created:
- Check your workspace root for
.windsurfrules or .cursorrules
- These files contain the AI behavior rules
⚠️ The plugin will NOT work without MCP configuration!
