Offline AI is an offline AI assistant that allows you to chat with an AI directly within your Visual Studio Code editor. No internet connection required—everything runs locally on your machine, providing a seamless and private experience for coding assistance, problem-solving, or general inquiries.
Features
Offline AI: Chat with the AI completely offline, no internet connection needed.
Easy Access: Simply press Ctrl + Shift + P and type Start chat with Offline AI to start chatting.
Interactive: Ask anything, whether it's coding-related or general knowledge, and get responses from the AI.
Installation
Install the Extension:
Open Visual Studio Code.
Go to the Extensions view by clicking on the Extensions icon in the Activity Bar on the side of the window.
Search for Offline AI in the Extensions Marketplace.
Click on Install to add the extension to your Offline .
Manual Installation (VSIX):
Download the .vsix file from the release page.
Open VS CODE and go to Extensions > ... (three dots) > Install from VSIX....
Select the downloaded .vsix file to install.
Usage
Press Ctrl + Shift + P to open the Command Palette.
Type Start chat with Offline AI.
The AI chat window will open, and you can start typing your questions or inquiries.
Get responses instantly from the AI, even when offline.
Technologies Used
Node.js: Backend for running the AI.
Offline API: Integration with Visual Studio Code.
Local AI Model: AI that works entirely offline with no need for an internet connection.
