One Dark Pro Light Background

A light VS Code workbench with One Dark Pro syntax colors. The theme bundles its color definitions, so it does not inherit syntax rules from Light 2026 or require another theme extension.

Use

Install the extension and select One Dark Pro Light Background using Preferences: Color Theme.

Existing user or workspace overrides still take precedence over a theme. If you previously copied theme rules into settings, remove those rules from editor.tokenColorCustomizations, editor.semanticTokenColorCustomizations, and workbench.colorCustomizations. Remove an explicit editor.semanticHighlighting.enabled: false, or set it to true.

Python semantic colors require an active semantic token provider, such as Pylance. JS/TS semantic colors require the built-in TypeScript language service. Unclassified text uses the original One Dark Pro gray. Language server and VS Code version changes may change token classification.

The original dark-theme syntax palette is intentionally preserved on a light background. Some colors have low contrast on white; this is not a contrast-adjusted accessibility theme.
