Installation
Launch VS Code Quick Open (Ctrl+P), paste the following command, and press enter.

File Contexter Extension

VSCode Extension for generating file and folder context of working project in VSCode. Providing context for LLMs.

Usage

  1. Install the extension from the VS Code Marketplace.
  2. Open the "File Contexter" view in the VS Code Activity Bar.
  3. Select files/folders by toggling checkboxes to add them to your context.
  4. Right-click or run the "Copy Selected Files" (copy icon at top) command to copy data to your clipboard.

How to Select and Copy

After installing the extension, you can select files/folders using checkboxes in the "File Contexter" view, then click "Copy Selected Files."

Using the Right-Click Menu

Enable the right-click menu in settings, then simply right-click files/folders and choose "Copy File Context" or toggle selection.

Extension Settings

Open the "Copy Settings" to customize prompts, include file contents, etc.
