Installation

To install the VSCode ExtensionTotal Scanner:

  1. Open Visual Studio Code.

  3. Search for ExtensionTotal.
  4. Click Install to add the extension to your environment.

Adding Your API Key

To use ExtensionTotal's VSCode Extension, you need to add your API key. There are two ways to do this:

Method 1: Using the ExtensionTotal Panel

  1. Open Visual Studio Code.
  2. In the Activity Bar, click on the ExtensionTotal icon.
  3. In the ExtensionTotal panel that appears, expand the ExtensionTotal tab.
  4. Enter your API key in the provided input field.
  5. Click the Set API Key button to save your API key.

Method 2: Using the Command Palette

  1. Open Visual Studio Code.
  2. Press Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+P (Mac) to open the Command Palette.
  3. Type ExtensionTotal: Set API Key and select it from the list.
  4. In the input box that appears, enter your API key.
  5. Press Enter to save your API key.

After setting your API key using either method, ExtensionTotal will be ready to use. If you need to obtain an API key, visit https://app.extensiontotal.com/profile.

Usage

Real-Time Alerts

  • The extension provides real-time alerts for any new security issues found in your extensions.
  • Notifications will appear in VSCode, allowing you to address potential risks immediately.
