An idle pixel-art farming game that lives right in your VSCode sidebar. You code, crops grow. That's the whole deal.
What Happens
- Install the extension
- Log in with GitHub (one click from the sidebar)
- Code as usual
- Glance at the sidebar — hey, your farm is growing!
Features
- 🌱 Zero Effort — just code. Seeds plant themselves, crops grow on their own
- 🎨 Pixel Art — cute 16×16 farm with time-based sky (sunrise, noon, sunset, night)
- 🧑🌾 Animated Character — walks around, waters crops, shows zzz when idle
- 💬 Status Bubble — set a message that shows above your character. Click to edit!
- 🎲 Gacha Collection — Common / Rare / Epic / Legendary drops with progress bar
- 💧 Social — visit and water other developers' farms
- 🌍 Full View — open your farm on claudefarmer.com with one click
- 🌐 i18n — auto-detects language, switch EN/KO right from the sidebar
Activity Detection
Your coding activity makes things happen:
- Type 50+ characters → seeds planted, crops grow
- Save a file → activity triggered
- Switch terminals → activity triggered
- Growth flash effects and stacked notifications keep you in the loop
Language
Auto-detects from your VS Code language. Change it:
- Sidebar footer: click EN or KO
- Settings:
claudeFarmer.language (auto / en / ko)
Requirements
- VSCode 1.85+
- Optional:
npm install -g claude-farmer for CLI features
