Overview

Tool to quickly add the currently opened file or current working directory to a root .gitignore file.

Adding a file to .gitignore

Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+P (Mac) and run Add current file to .gitignore.

Adding the current working directory to .gitignore

Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+P (Mac) and run Add current file to .gitignore.

Known Issues

1. No handling of the case where no .gitignore file exists
