SVG to File

A simple VS Code extension that lets you paste SVG content from your clipboard directly as an .svg file.

I made this because I copy SVGs from Figma a lot and I just wanted a faster way to get them into my project without creating a file, opening it, pasting, saving, etc.

How to use

  1. Copy SVG markup to your clipboard (e.g. from Figma)
  2. Right-click a folder in the Explorer
  3. Click "Paste SVG content as File"
  4. Enter a filename and done

You can also just press Ctrl+V while focusing on a folder in the Explorer.
