A chill pixel-styled surfing game for your VS Code/ Cursor sidebar.

TL;DR: Vibe coded a game for you to vibe code with!

How to Play

1. Click and hold to dive
2. Release to jump (the longer you hold, the higher you jump)
3. Collect coins for points
4. Game speeds up as score increases

Installation

1. Launch VS Code/ Cursor
2. Go to Extensions (or press Ctrl+Shift+X)
3. Search for "Wave Rider"
4. Click Install
5. Access from your Explorer sidebar or press Cmd+Shift+P (Mac) / Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows/Linux) and type "Start Wave Rider Game"

Things you should know

• Dive deep for bigger jumps
• Underwater coins appear less frequently but are worth the same points (so, it's okay if you wana resize the panel to have smaller height)
• The game gets progressively faster as your score increases
• The game resets to normal speed after 15 seconds of inactivity
