Remoot connects Visual Studio Code or Cursor to the Remoot mobile app through a secure relay. Pair with a QR code, pick trusted projects, and run agent workflows from your phone.
What you get
QR pairing — Connect the mobile app without hand-typing long tokens (when the agent CLI is installed and you are signed in).
Trusted projects — Limit which folders the phone can target.
Flexible bridge modes — Extension-only, hybrid (IDE + background daemon), or daemon-only; tune in settings.
Copilot & Cursor — Choose the AI engine that matches your setup (Cursor Agent, GitHub Copilot CLI, or auto-detect).
Quick start
Install this extension from the Marketplace.
Run Remoot: Show QR Panel from the Command Palette or use the status bar.
In the panel, complete agent CLI install and login, then scan the QR code with the Remoot app.
Optional: open Settings and search remoot-bridge for relay URL, bridge mode, and approvals.
Self-hosting or advanced relay options are described in the project docs shipped with the full Remoot stack.
Screenshots
Add one or two screenshots here after publish (panel with QR, or settings)—Marketplace listings with visuals convert better. Use relative paths, e.g. images/readme-panel.png.
Requirements
VS Code ^1.80.0 (see engines in package.json).
Terminal Data Write Event — used for optional terminal streaming; the extension declares the corresponding API proposal where supported.
