Why Codes AI?

Codes AI lets you chat with AI models and delegate coding tasks to an autonomous agent that can read and modify your project files.

Getting Started

Requirements

• Visual Studio Code 1.80 or later
• An API key for an OpenAI-compatible API endpoint

Setup

1. Install Codes AI from the Visual Studio Code Marketplace.
2. Open Codes AI in VS Code.
3. Configure your API URL, API key, and model in Settings.
4. Start chatting or delegate a task in Agent mode.

Privacy

Codes AI sends AI requests directly to the API endpoint you configure. Your API key and request data are sent to that endpoint.

Codes AI does not proxy your AI requests through its own servers or store them on its own servers.
