Create a link to your Code

Highlight a section of code you would like to share, and create a link to it by doing one of the following:

Option One: Command Palette

  1. Press Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+P (Mac) to open the command palette
  2. Type CodeLink: Get Link
  3. Hit enter

Option Two: Shortcut Key

  1. Press Alt+Shift+S (Windows/Linux) or Option+Shift+S (Mac)

Option Three: Dropdown Menu

  1. Select Get Link from the dropdown menu under the lightbulb icon

Share your CodeLink

You now have a shareable link to your selected code in your clipboard! The link points directly to the file and line(s) of the selected code block in the repository.

Connect to Slack

Install the CodeLink Slack app to unfurl snippets and connect to your editor directly from Slack.
