Code.in Agent

Build, fix, and understand your project from VS Code. Code.in uses our own agent harness to read your code, make changes, run commands, and check the result.

Get started

  1. Install Code.in Agent in VS Code.
  2. Open your project folder with File → Open Folder.
  3. Click the Code.in icon in the activity bar and choose Continue with code.in.
  4. Describe what you want to build, fix, or explain.

Sign in with your Code.in account to use your included models and allowance. You can also choose your own model connection in settings. No API key is required for a Code.in account.

Your workspace, with an agent beside you

  • Plan before making changes, or work directly in Build mode.
  • Choose your model from the composer.
  • Review file changes, tool activity, and approvals as the agent works.
  • Attach images and documents, reference project files, and continue saved conversations.
  • Use shared rules, skills, hooks, memory, and MCP tools across projects.
  • Keep Space or Blocks as your editor theme.

Tools operate in your local workspace. Model requests send the context needed for the task to the selected inference service. See our privacy policy.

Prefer a terminal?

Open the Command Palette and run code.in: Open Terminal Agent. Code.in installs its own runtime and opens in your current project, without npm, Node.js setup, or administrator access.

You can also use the terminal setup page. Install once, then run codein in any project folder. Use /update inside the agent to update and resume your conversation.

The Code.in edition shares its extension ID with the earlier code.ae agent. Installing it updates that extension in place. Your Code.in account remains separate from code.ae.
