Chris Git Blame

Inline git blame for the line you're on, and nothing else.

  • Inline annotation at the end of the current line: Author, 3 days ago • commit summary
  • Hover the line for the full commit message, author, date and short SHA
  • View on GitHub link in the hover (derived from the origin remote)
Command What it does
Git Blame: Toggle Inline Blame Turns the inline annotation on/off (gitBlame.enabled)
Git Blame: Open Current Line Commit on GitHub Opens the current line's commit in the browser

Uncommitted lines show You • Uncommitted changes and have no hover.
