CareJobs.Now: Healthcare Jobs for Copilot

Gives GitHub Copilot in VS Code (agent mode) tools to search open US healthcare jobs and the pay employers post, from CareJobs.Now, a free US healthcare job board.

Once installed, ask Copilot things like:

• "Find night shift ICU nurse jobs in Texas that post pay."
• "What do surgical techs get paid in Ohio?"
• "Which hospitals in Georgia are hiring new grad nurses?"
• "How many healthcare jobs are open in Florida, by kind of job?"

What it adds

• An MCP server (CareJobs.Now healthcare jobs) that VS Code starts for Copilot: tools to search open jobs, get the hourly pay employers post by kind of job and state, read the job market, and look up states and employers. It is CareJobs.Now's public server at https://carejobs.now/api/mcp: free, no API key, no account.
• Two commands in the Command Palette: CareJobs.Now: Search US healthcare jobs and CareJobs.Now: Open healthcare pay by job.

Where the data comes from

CareJobs.Now reads open jobs every day from the career sites of US hospitals, health systems, clinics and care employers (about 320,000 open jobs at more than 2,000 employers in October 2026), and the pay is what each posting states. Privacy

The extension sends nothing on its own. When Copilot calls a tool, the tool's arguments (for example a job title and a state) go to carejobs.now to answer it. No account, no tracking. Privacy policy: https://carejobs.now/legal/privacy.

VS Code 1.101 or later with GitHub Copilot (agent mode). Other MCP clients can use the same server directly: https://carejobs.now/data.
