i18n-extractor README

"i18n-extractor" is an i18n helper tool for Otsimo. It is designed for in-company use so if you are not working for Otsimo, this may not be functional for you.

Before you begin, don't forget to define your i18n translations directory and languages from extension settings.(path is relative to the workspace root,ex: "src/i18n/langs/")

In order to turn your hardcoded string to a i18n translation select the text and press Command + Shift + T and follow the instructions.

i18n-extractor also supports translation of your localization file via Google translate. In order to use that feature follow the first step of Before you begin title from https://cloud.google.com/translate/docs/quickstart-client-libraries and download the generated json file. Then from Visual Studio Code settings, find Otsimo I18N Configuration and set gcloud Config Path value to path of your json file (like: "/Users/cancit/Downloads/Otsimo-sdfsefsd.json" )

After the configuration, you may use translation by opening the file you would like to translate and choosing i18n: Translate i18n file from Visual Studio Code Command Popup (Command + Shift + P)

You may use i18n: Show i18n translations command see translation usage, unused translations and untranslated texts.
