Shyama VS Code Theme

A premium, high-contrast dark color theme designed specifically for modern web developers, featuring an eye-friendly Deep Slate Obsidian background and a highly scannable, balanced palette of Teal, Orange, and Lavender. Shyama means teal (dark blue-green) in Sanskrit.

Design Aesthetics

  • Deep Slate Obsidian Background (#0b0d0f): Softens bright neons and eliminates eye strain and character bleeding ("halation") during long coding sessions, while maintaining a rich dark canvas.
  • UX-Optimized Import Statements:
    • The imported values themselves (like twMerge or ReactMarkdown) stand out in Electric Teal (#00f5d4) and are formatted in bold cursive italics.
    • The boilerplate imports, brackets, and package paths are muted in normal-weight White and Amber Gold to reduce clutter and focus your eyes on what was imported.
  • Balanced JSX/TSX Scannability:
    • Custom React Components stand out in Vibrant Orange (#ff7a00).
    • HTML/JSX Elements are styled in Electric Cyan (#38bdf8).
    • JSX/HTML Attributes (like className or id) are styled in Soft Lavender (#cba6f7) with cursive italics.
    • This grouping breaks up the "wall of green" commonly found in large components and makes code structure instantly scannable.
  • Emerald Class & Attribute Declarations: Classes, variables, and constants represent in Electric Teal and Emerald highlights, aligning with the primary syntax flow.
