Auto Commit AI for GitHub 🚀

Auto Commit AI for GitHub is a VS Code extension that automatically commits and pushes your local changes to GitHub using AI-generated commit messages — no terminal commands, no manual input, zero friction.

Features

  • AI-Generated Commit Messages – Uses GPT or Gemini to write short, contextual commit notes like working on index.html-part3.
  • Auto-Commit & Push – Automatically stages, commits, and pushes your changes at a configurable interval.
  • Branch Auto-Detection – Detects your current branch and syncs changes automatically.
  • Safe & Resilient – Handles Git lock issues, retries failed pushes, and logs activity live.
  • Optional API Key – Works with or without an AI key (fallback message format included).

Usage

  1. Install the extension.
  2. (Optional) Run Auto Commit: Set LLM API Key to add your OpenAI or Gemini key.
  3. It auto-starts every VS Code session.
Just code — your commits are handled.
