BrewPage Report PublisherPublish a reviewed report from your active VS Code editor as a shareable reader link. HTML, Markdown and Plain Text are supported. No BrewPage account is needed.
Public reports are listed in the gallery and sitemap. Unlisted reports are accessible to anyone with the link; an unlisted link is not a secret. Password-protected reports require the password and are not listed, even when Public was selected. New reports expire after 15 days. An identical existing publication can be returned
with its original expiry and reader access only; the result identifies that outcome.
Previously saved owner access is preserved when an existing publication is not owned.
The extension accepts at most 5 MiB of UTF-8 content.
It sends the chosen content to Only the reader link can be copied or opened. The returned owner token is stored in VS Code SecretStorage, never in settings, files, logs, output panels, or clipboard. SecretStorage is platform-dependent and does not sync between machines. This initial version retains owner access but does not yet provide editing or deletion commands. Passwords are sent in the HTTPS request header and are not persisted by the extension. There is no telemetry and no automatic retry. If an upload times out, it may already exist; review before trying again. The extension is free and licensed under MIT. Tests deny external fetches and use a temporary loopback HTTP fixture plus real temporary
filesystem symlinks. They verify source rejection before editor reads and nonowner merge
handling without replacing stored owner capabilities. They create no
live publications. Packaging reruns compile, lint and tests and includes no dependencies
at runtime. See |
