Becki for VS Code / Cursor

Your AI already remembers with Becki. Now you can see it without leaving your editor.

Becki is memory for your AI, not another AI. It holds the decisions, dead ends, commitments, and open loops you've built up across every AI tool, conversation, meeting, and repo, so your agent can query it instead of starting from zero every session. This extension adds a read and ask panel for that memory, right inside VS Code and Cursor.

What it is

An activity bar panel with four tabs:

• Briefing, a rundown of what's active right now.
• Commitments, the things you or someone else said you'd do.
• Projects, the work Becki has tied context to.
• Ask, a place to ask your memory a question in plain language.

This is a read and ask surface. It shows you what Becki already knows.

Why it's different from a wiki or notes app

Most memory tools only keep the decisions. Becki also keeps the dead ends, the approaches you tried that did not work, so you and your agent stop re-litigating the same mistake in a new session. And that memory is not locked to one chat window. It travels with you, via MCP, into whichever AI tool you're using that day, so your context stops being siloed across tools.

What you need

1. A Becki account.
2. An install token, generated at https://www.becki.io/account.
3. Run the Becki: Connect command (Command Palette) and paste the token when prompted.

The token is stored in your editor's built in secret storage. It is never written to settings, never synced, and never visible in this extension's UI once entered.

How Ask works

When you ask a question, this extension looks for an agent CLI already installed on your machine, Claude Code or Codex, and uses it to synthesize an answer from your retrieved memory. That call runs locally, on your machine, using your own CLI. Nothing is sent to any Becki run model for synthesis.

If no supported CLI is found, Ask falls back to a grounded memory view: the raw, retrieved memory relevant to your question, with no synthesis step in between.

What this extension does not do

• It does not capture meetings or use your microphone. That stays with the Becki Mac app.
• It does not edit or delete memory. This is read only in v0.
• It does not do anything with teams, sharing, or organizations. Becki memory here is yours, individually.

Works in Cursor too

This extension is built on the standard VS Code extension API, so it runs unmodified in Cursor. It is published to Open VSX as well as the Visual Studio Code Marketplace, so it installs the same way in either editor.
