The editor features are based on the language constructs and built-ins currently
recognized by this extension. They do not replace diagnostics from the Tekst
interpreter or provide a debugger or formatter.
Installation
Install the extension from the VSIX file.
Alternatively, clone this repository and press F5 in VS Code to launch an Extension Development Host.
Running Tekst
Make sure the Tekst interpreter is available on your PATH.
Then open a .tk file and run:
Tekst: Run File
You can also configure the interpreter:
{
"tekst.interpreterPath": "C:\\path\\to\\Tekst.exe"
}
Use tekst.runArguments to pass additional arguments to the interpreter.
Build and test
Build the active .tk file with Tekst: Build File. By default, the
extension also runs tekst build <file> whenever a Tekst file is saved; disable
this with "tekst.buildOnSave": false. Compiler errors are shown in the
Problems panel and compiler output is available in View → Output → Tekst.
Run Tekst: Test Workspace to execute tekst test from the workspace root.
Set tekst.testPath to pass an optional path to the test command. Build and
test tasks are also available in VS Code's task picker and use the contributed
$tekst-build and $tekst-test problem matchers.
The editor's symbol and reference features use lightweight source scanning;
they do not resolve imported modules or replace a Tekst language server.
