ApiGear API Driven Workflow

This extension provides a set of YAML schemas to work with ApiGears API driven workflow. The workflow allows users to create object interface, then generate code using different languages and technologies up to different communication protocols as also to control a simulation server to simulate these interfaces before they are implemented.

The document schemas provided here must be used with the ApiGear Studio or ApiGear CLI freely downloadable from https://apigear.io.

Schema validation

The extension supports the following ApiGear workflow formats:

• API Module Schema - model an object interface using ObjectAPI
• Solution Schema - Control a multi-layer code generation process using Apigear Generator Server
• Scenario Schema - Simulate any interface using the APiGear Simulation Server
• Template Rules Schema - Rules for creating a new template

Model Context Protocol (MCP) Integration

This extension provides integration with the ApiGear Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, which enables AI assistants to interact with your ApiGear projects.

Prerequisites

To use the MCP integration, you need to have the ApiGear CLI tool installed and available in your system PATH. You can verify the installation by running:
