SF Deploy Guard is a lightweight companion for Salesforce developers who work in shared orgs. It watches your Deploy flow and warns you before you push changes that would erase someone else’s work — telling you who changed the same component and when.

In real Salesforce teams, the same class, flow, or permission set often lives in many hands. A quick deploy can silently wipe a colleague’s fix — and nobody notices until production or the next sprint.

Privacy

Your work stays yours. The extension talks only to the Salesforce CLI and the org you already authenticated. No third-party analytics, no data upload, no account required.

Getting started

1. Install SF Deploy Guard and reload the window.
2. Open your Salesforce DX project with an authenticated default org.
3. Confirm the status bar shows Deploy Guard: ON.
4. Deploy or Retrieve as usual.

If the org has a newer change, Guard shows who changed it and when. You can view a diff, force your version, or cancel. If you align your local files with the org and deploy again, Guard notices the match and does not warn again unless something still differs.

Turn protection off anytime with SF Deploy Guard: Toggle Enabled when you need a direct deploy.
