AgentKnocks for VS Code and Cursor

AgentKnocks is a Mac menu-bar app that tells you which Claude Code or Codex session needs you. This extension lets it bring up the exact integrated terminal the session runs in, when you click an alert or press the "next waiting agent" shortcut.

Without the extension, AgentKnocks can only bring VS Code or Cursor forward. With it, the right window comes up and the right terminal is selected.

What it does

  • Each window writes one small file to ~/Library/Application Support/AgentKnocks/editors/: the workspace folder it has open and the process IDs of its terminals' shells.
  • When AgentKnocks asks for a terminal, the window that owns it shows that terminal.

It never reads terminal contents or your files, never types into a terminal, and makes no network requests. It does nothing unless the AgentKnocks app is installed.

Requirements

  • macOS 14 or later
  • AgentKnocks with Pro (Jump to Terminal)

License

MIT. The extension's source is included in the package. The AgentKnocks app is a separate, paid product.
