Komando

The VS Code side of the Komando framework. Today it makes komando.yml — the deployment manifest — as easy to edit as the mandor workspace env wizard, with every value suggested from your own mandor setup.

Validation — mistakes in komando.yml are underlined as you type.
Completion and hover — property names, allowed values and documentation for every key.
Value completion from mandor — DB profiles for the environment's tier, servers, accounts, environments, proxy entries, modeled odoo_rc keys for your Odoo version, and requirements files in your repository.
Checks against your setup — a value that mandor does not know, a DB profile of the wrong tier, or a requirements file that does not exist yet is marked with a warning.
Snippets — komando-project, komando-env, komando-route.

Requirements

The mandor CLI, installed on the machine where VS Code runs the extension. The schema used for validation comes from your installed mandor, so the editor always matches the CLI you deploy with. Without mandor the extension stays inactive.
YAML by Red Hat (redhat.vscode-yaml), installed automatically.

Setup

The extension looks for mandor in the komando.mandorPath setting, then on PATH, then in ~/.local/bin. When it finds mandor it saves the path to komando.mandorPath.

If mandor lives somewhere else, run Komando: Select mandor Binary from the Command Palette.

After upgrading mandor, run Komando: Reload Schema.

Suggested values are read once when the extension starts. After you add a DB profile, server or account, run Komando: Refresh Options.

Remote development

Under Remote-SSH, WSL or Dev Containers the extension runs on the remote side, so mandor must be installed there.

License

Komando is an internal tool of PT Adaptiv Solusi Informatika, intended for its employees and authorized contractors, not for the general public. It is listed on the Marketplace for their convenience only. Adaptiv takes no responsibility for use outside its own organization and offers no support for it.

The extension and all its assets belong to Adaptiv. Redistribution, modification and republication are prohibited. See the LICENSE.txt file shipped with the extension for the full terms.
