Wiv AIr Cursor Extension

Integrate Wiv AIr with Cursor to view your current AI usage cost, enforced spend limit, and synchronization freshness without leaving your editor.

Features

  • View spend this cycle, charged cap consumption, and effective usage limit
  • Monitor limit utilization and blocked or near-limit status
  • Review request and token totals, top models, and recent daily spend
  • See your remaining allowance, reset date, profile, provider, and limit source
  • See when usage data was last synchronized and materialized
  • Access usage for the selected Wiv organization
  • Review aggregate Conversation Insights by intent, work type, complexity, prompt specificity, and category
  • Refresh usage from the sidebar or status bar
  • Authenticate securely using Wiv OAuth with PKCE

Wiv AIr is batch-synchronized. Values include a Data through date and should not be interpreted as real-time billing.

Spend, model bars, average daily, and maximum daily use list cost to match the AIR user page. The displayed cycle-vs-cap utilization and headroom use that same list-cost basis. Charged cost is shown separately and remains the only basis used for enforcement status. When cycle value exceeds the displayed cap, the dashboard shows the overage rather than clamping headroom to zero.

Requirements

  • A Wiv user with Wiv AIr access enabled
  • Membership in a Wiv organization connected to AIr
  • Cursor or a compatible VS Code-based editor
  • Synchronized usage data for the selected organization

Installation

  1. Open Cursor.
  2. Open the Extensions view from the Activity Bar or press Ctrl+Shift+X.
  3. Search for Wiv AIr and install the extension published by Wiv.
  4. Open the Wiv AIr view.
  5. Select Sign In and authenticate with your Wiv user in the system browser.
  6. Select the Wiv organization whose usage you want to view.

When installing a prerelease build, run Extensions: Install from VSIX... from the Command Palette and select the supplied wiv-air-*.vsix file.

Usage

Open the Wiv AIr view from the Activity Bar or run View: Open View → My Usage. The visual dashboard shows current-month cards, a utilization ring, recent spend trend, top-model bars, account configuration, and freshness. API requests and tokens remain in the extension host; the dashboard receives only sanitized usage values.

Use the Usage and Conversation Insights tabs to switch between spend visibility and Cursor's aggregate classification analytics. Conversation Insights requires Cursor Enterprise and may be unavailable independently of usage data.

Separate gauges identify cycle value versus cap, charged enforcement utilization, and elapsed cycle time; these measures are intentionally not combined into one percentage. Hover or focus any numeric metric to see its cost basis, time window, and calculation in the dedicated help panel.

Use the following commands from the Command Palette:

  • Wiv AIr: Sign In
  • Wiv AIr: Refresh
  • Wiv AIr: Sign Out

The status-bar summary provides quick access to your current spend and limit. Select it to refresh the displayed usage.

Privacy and security

The extension requests only the authenticated user's curated usage summary from GET /v1/me/usage. It does not collect prompts, source code, or conversation content. Access and rotating refresh tokens are stored with the editor's SecretStorage API and are never written into a workspace. They are accepted only by Wiv AIr's self-service API routes.
