Getting Started

1. Installation

Install the extension from the VS Code Marketplace:

Open VS Code
Go to Extensions (Ctrl+Shift+X or Cmd+Shift+X)
Search for "Whailion"
Click Install

Connect your Whailion account:

Click the Whailion icon in the sidebar
Click "Sign In"
Authenticate in your browser
Return to VS Code - you're ready to go!

3. Start Using AI Agents

Quick Chat:

Press Ctrl+Shift+W (or Cmd+Shift+W on Mac)
Select an agent from your workspace
Type your question and press Enter

Sidebar Chat:

Open the Whailion sidebar
Browse your available agents
Click an agent to start chatting

VS Code Chat:

Open the VS Code Chat panel
Type @whailion followed by your message
Get AI assistance in the native chat interface

Available Commands

Open the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P or Cmd+Shift+P) and search for:

Whailion: Open Chat - Open the full chat panel
Whailion: Sign In - Connect your Whailion account
Whailion: Sign Out - Disconnect your account
Whailion: View Account - See your account and workspace details
Whailion: Settings - Configure extension preferences

Available Settings

whailion.apiUrl - Whailion API endpoint (default: https://whailion.com/api)
whailion.autoSyncInterval - How often to sync agents and settings (milliseconds)

Troubleshooting

Verify you have an active Whailion account at whailion.com
Check that your internet connection is working
Try signing out and signing in again
Contact support if the issue persists

Extension not loading?

Ensure you're running VS Code 1.85.0 or higher
Try reloading VS Code (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R)
Check the Output panel (View > Output > Whailion) for errors
Reinstall the extension if problems continue

Chat not responding?

Check your internet connection
Verify the selected agent is active
Look for error messages in the chat panel
Try selecting a different agent
